Both perform equally well for first two weeks of seedling growth, after which Baba perform better as the plant grow bigger with less yellow leaves, while BLS growth stunted with more yellow leaves.

Both are usable as seedling mix, just that Baba contains more nutrient for slightly longer term growth.

Update for #34: Grow Choy Sam From Seed

The last batch of transplant didn't do well in new pot. Didn't grow much in size, and suffer from yellowing of leaves.

It seems like the compost and fertilizer didn't help the plant.

I spray some neem oil on the soil, where the gnats would fly away or jump around (the small ones can't fly). It does kill some of them. For it to be effective, you need to spray a large amount or drench the soil, which might be too costly if you buy commercial neem pesticides.
