Store small quantity of fertilizer in small cups/containers for easy scooping.

Cotyledons (first pair of leaves) are non-true leaves which will turn yellow and fall off as the plant matures (true leaves are developing)

Over watering

• Leaves drop off
• Leaves turn yellow/brown and wilt (soft and limp leaves)
• Yellow and mushy leaves at bottom
• Stunted growth
• New leaves falling off
• Leaves curl down / drooping with yellowing
• Leaves curl up to protect itself from photosynthesis

Under watering

• Leaves drop off
• Leaves turn yellow/brown and wilt (dry and crispy leaves)
• Dry and curling leaves
• Brown dry leaves edges
• Curl down (excessive heat)
• Curl down and wilt

Not sure?

• Dip finger 1-2 inch into the soil
• Get a moisture meter
• Don't water the plant until it the leaves droop

Nitrogen

• For growth
• When low in nitrogen, plant is small and leaves is pale green. Older leaves may turn yellow.

Phosphorous

• Root establishment and early growth of vegetable
• When low in Phosphorous, older leaves turn purple.

Potassium

• Overral
• When low in potassium, older leaves turn yellow and brown around the edge.

Organic Fertilizer

• Apply early as it takes longer to be absorbed

How to apply

• Around the plant (not directly at the base), and try to mix it slightly with the soil.
• Water it.
• Apply nutrient every 2~4 weeks.

Avoid Bottom Fruit Rot for Capsicum or Tomato

• Add calsium (or egg shell) in advance before fruiting

Root Plant (Carrot)

• Avoid high nitrogen.
