All the bulbs have sprouted and the roots are growing healthy.
This is indeed a problematic batch. All the bulbs kind of rotted or grown soft and some harboring tiny larva worms. Only one final bulb still surviving.
Lesson: if there is a strong pungent smell and the roots are no longer growing, it is a sign the bulb is not doing well.
