#2: Regrow Garlic From Kitchen Bulb (Water And Soil)

At a shady part of my balcony. No roots or sprout yet.

One clove without skin has grown some roots, no sprouts yet.

I forgot to mention I planted two cloves in soil. No roots yet.

More roots has grown, though only one bulb without skin actually grows.

Seems like one of the garlic is going to sprout.

Two cloves without skin have healthy roots and start sprouting. Another 3 cloves with skin didn't germinate.

The 2 cloves without skin are sprouting well. The rest doesn't grow roots.

Transplant one clove to PET bottle with water.

Another clove grow roots. Only 1 remaining clove in water hasn't grown roots.

All the remaining cloves have sprouted.

Leaves are 14 inches tall.

I will attempt to grow Garlic for the bulb, rather than the green. Since there is no winter, the bulb might not break into cloves.

Algae started to grow, trying to clean up a bit. The leaves are pretty thin and soft, as I am afraid it won't grow any taller without more nutrient.

I realize the new pot is probably too small (especially the bottom) to plant 6 garlic cloves for bulb, so I decide to transplant them to a bigger Styrofoam box.

Not sure if they are doing well or not.

Fertilize with organic fertilizer and larvie frass.

Some are doing well, while others showing sign off drying up.

2 of 6 are drying up.

All the garlics have dried up. Probably due to too little sunlight, as it only gets an hour of morning sun.
